[ Glazed Substrates ]

■Applications
Thermal printer head

■Features
MARUWA lines up fully-glazed substrates and partially- glazed substrates with excellent durability and surface smoothness. For both types of glazed substrates, the surface of Alumina substrates are glazed with alkali-free and lead-free amorphous glasses such as GS-31, GS-32 or GS-40.

CO2 gas laser processing makes the large sized alumina substrates with the snapped lines on the surface, which can be split into several to hundreds parts.
Two types of substrates with Alumina content of 96% and 99.6% are available . HA-96-2 is available for multi-purpose use and mass production, and HA-996 has lower surface roughness of Ra 0.1µm after firing due to smaller Alumina crystal. It can be used for thin-film substrate without glazing processing.
