MARUWA has produced alumina (Al2O3) substrates for over 40 years under severe quality control with carefully selected high purity ceramic materials that ensures stable quality and excellent properties. Our alumina substrate has well-balanced properties of insulation, thermal conductivity and breaking strength. Moreover, one of the unique properties is its surface roughness. We can provide the ceramic substrate which is excellent in adhesion with a thin film and thick film metalization due to fine particles. ■Good smoothness / flatness with less porosity. Excellent in adhesion with thin film and thick film materials. ■Less variance in outline, plate thickness, slit pitch, etc. ■Minimal warpage, bending, and undulation. ■Physical and chemical properties are stable even under a hot environment.  Excellent in thermal shock resistance. High thermal conductivity and coefficient of thermal expansion similar to that of silicon. ■High mechanical strength. ■Excellent resistance against oil and chemical. ■Excellent in insulation properties, high dielectric breakdown voltage, high surface resistivity / volume resistivity, and small dielectric constant. ■Stable breaking strength, and less variance in shape or dimensions.

Aluminum Nitride (AlN) Substrates

MARUWA has started to produce Aluminum Nitride (AlN) substrates since 1985 and has developed its performance. With both extremely high thermal conductivity (170-230W/mK) and insulating properties. MARUWA's AlN substrate can be the best solution in electronics applications where strict conditions are required, such as power modules (MOSFET, IGBT), LED packages for cooling and protecting circuits, packages and modules. ■High thermal conductivity (170-230W/mK), up to 9.5 times than that of Alumina ■Similar coefficient of thermal expansion to that of silicon (Si). This helps to achieve high reliability of Si chip and thermal heat cycling ■Higher electric insulation, and Smaller dielectric constant ■Higher mechanical strength (450MPa). ■Superior corrosion resistance against molten metal. ■Very high purity, no toxicity.

The materials can be customized with various pattern technologies, such as wraparound metallization. RS Series (Stacked Type Ceramic Capacitors) consist of a stack of MARUWA's multilayer ceramic capacitors. These stacked capacitors take up the same board space as one standard chip capacitor, making it an ideal replacement for Aluminum electrolytic capacitors in applications such as compact, high frequency switching power supply.

BC Series

BC Series

Larger capacitance values in smaller sizes compared to conventional materials. Low impedance, high frequency characteristic. Suitable for noise reduction for consumer electronics and industrial machines.

RC Series

RC Series

Larger capacitance values in smaller sizes compared to conventional materials. They can be used in the high-temperature range, suitable for power supply and industrial machines.

CVH Series

CVH Series

They are for high voltage circuits. The zinc oxide material ensures excellent nonlinearity and response. They can be used for AC100Vrms and AC200Vrms power lines. This series can support varistor voltage up to 470V. They are compact and can be surface mounted. Operating temperature range : -40℃~+85℃.

CVG Series

CVG Series

They are for industrial equipments. The zinc oxide material ensures excellent nonlinearity and response. You can choose the products which are suitable for your needs from variety of lineups with capacitance and varistor voltage. It is possible to supply them in embossed taping, and they are best for automatic mounting.
